Medical City Fort Worth is pleased to announce its new Vice President of Quality Services. Alexis Burnett is a registered nurse who has worked in a variety of leadership positions within Medical City Healthcare, Medical City Fort Worth’s parent company. She also is a past recipient of one of the top employee awards within the HCA corporate system, the Frist Humanitarian Award.
Prior to joining Medical City Fort Worth, Burnett served as Director of Quality Management and Regulatory Compliance Manager for Medical City Arlington. She also previously served as Emergency Medical Services Coordinator and Stroke Coordinator for Medical City North Hills.
“Beginning her career as a bedside nurse provides Alexis with an important perspective as she manages our hospital’s quality program,” Medical City Fort Worth of Fort Worth CEO Clay Franklin said. “As her department monitors our quality metrics, each statistic is more easily tied to the individual experiences of our patients and their families. This helps us to better advance Medical City Fort Worth's commitment to the care and improvement of human life in our community.”
Burnett earned an executive MBA from Texas Woman’s University and a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. Later this year, she expects to complete a doctorate of business administration in health care leadership from California Intercontinental University.
